 Process

This project was created for over a 10 week period for Prof. Clark Delashmet's Interactive Product Design class. The goals of this class were to focus on package design, voice assistant design, and iterating on them.

We focused on the question "What is Fear?" and the topic of haunted objects. What it be like to have a voice assistant that was a spirit trapped in an object?

How Might We:

How might we create a secret society where people can talk to spirits? How might we be able to recapture the nostalgic fear for adults? How might we be able to help our consumers' imagination run wild within the space of creepy?

Unique Value Proposition:

The Postmortem Society is an immersive case-solving subscription service paired with an AI voice companion that enables horror and paranormal aficionado to solve peculiar, seasonal, and reality-based cases.

Service Statement:

A secret society that offers horror and paranormal aficionados the ability to unlock cases, form a community and go on seasonal case-solving experiences with a mysterious afterlife companion.

 Outcome

The Postmortem Society is an immersive case-solving subscription service paired with an AI voice companion that enables horror and paranormal aficionado to solve peculiar, seasonal, reality-based cases.

Key Features

Case Files: The evidence that you must use to solve the case. Case files can be ongoing where you receive a new box of every month to solve a large case or solvable in one night with on box.

Cells and Denizen: House the voice assistant

Possession: Your spirit can go pull other spirits from the case in for questioning. This allowed the victim or suspect's spirit to inhabit the cell and talk to you for a brief period of time.
